STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHES
Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Netball Club (TVAFNC) – Senior Men’s and Women’s Football Programs (2026 Season)
About the Role: 1 x Role for Women’s Program, and 1 x role for the Men’s Programs.
TVAFNC is seeking dynamic, motivated, and qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach to work with either our Senior Men’s or Women’s Programs for the 2026 season. This vital role is essential in supporting player performance, injury-prevention, and player wellbeing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Implement Programs: Create and deliver comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for pre-season, in-season, and off-season training.

Warm-Ups and Cool-Downs: Prepare and conduct warm-up, activation, and cool-down sessions to optimise player performance and minimise injury risks both at training and games.

First Aid & Strapping: In conjunction with the Club physiotherapist, take a lead role in player strapping and injury management at all training sessions and on game days.
​

Game Day Support: Provide strapping, first aid, and physical preparation during matches for the respective Senior Program. Ensure the first aid kits are maintained and stocked.​ Bring ice and medical essentials to games as required.

Player Wellbeing: Monitor the physical wellbeing of players and promptly raise any concerns with the coaching staff and Club Physiotherapist.
​

Collaborative Work: Liaise closely with Men’s and Women’s Head Coaches, Team Managers, Club Physiotherapist and other medical staff to ensure best practice across all teams.

Supplies Management: Assist with the management of first aid and equipment supplies.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-
Experienced or highly motivated persons experienced in delivering strength and conditioning programs to athletes, preferably in football or a similar team sport environment.

Recognised qualifications in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, or related disciplines (ASCA Level 1 or higher preferred).
​

First aid and CPR certification (current). (we can offer assistance with obtaining these qualifications.)
​

Demonstrated skills in taping/strapping and injury-prevention techniques.
​

Availability for two training sessions per week, and game days (typically two games per weekend).
​

Professional, enthusiastic capable of working with athletes of differing abilities.
​

Strong communication skills, and an ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
